The Menshikov Palace is an emblematic monument of Peter the Great’s time, the residence of his close associate Alexander Danilovich Menshikov, the first Governor of Saint Petersburg. During a visit you can view interiors decorated in the first quarter of the 18th century together with works of fine and applied art. The main attraction of the palace is the display of interiors created using authentic items from the stocks of the Hermitage in rooms that retain their 18th-century décor.
Visits to the Menshikov Palace are only possible as part of a guided tour group during a particular time slot. Each guided tour lasts 1 hour. We recommend arriving at the meeting point for tour groups 15 minutes before the start of the tour. Ticket-holders who arrive late for the tour will NOT be allowed to view the displays independently.
