The nude male's statuette with a large head, narrow shoulders and a well-developed torso is carved from horn. Its surface is thoroughly polished. The man's face has prominent eyebrows, a nose and plump lips. The statuette was discovered during the excavation of the pile settlement of Usvyaty IV in a peat bog. Of all the anthropomorphic figurines found in the forest area of the European part of Russia, this example is particularly notable for its skilful execution and expressiveness.
